He married Hannah Cheshire (b. 7 April 1819, d. May 1883/4 and bur. Brookville Cem.) on 23 November 1837, Success, NY. Hannah is d/o Abram and Rebecca (Valentine) Cheshire. Daniel died 21 August 1861. He drowned while clamming in Oyster Bay. He is bur. in Brookville Cem.

He died 16 January 1881; Abram^7 Van Wicklen was b. abt. 1841/2, Jericho, NY. He married Emily ____ and he died 12 February 1910. Emily died 11 March 1899; James^7 Van Wicklen was b. 11 Feburary 1843, NY and d. 20 May 1919. He m. Caroline Foster Price (d/o Artemus and Sarah L. Price) on 26 June 1867 in Manhattan, NY. They had one child, “Friend” Van Wicklen, b. 20 June 1875, Brooklyn, NY.; John^7 Van Wicklen was b. 30 June 1845, NY and he d. 7 September 1848--in childhood. He is buried in Brookville Cem (see info on John in source section below); Catharine^7 Van Wicklen was b. 17 September 1847, NY. She married first to Daniel Wesley Kirbe, and second to John Henry Pitblado Campbell; Daniel^7 Van Wicklen was b. 7 November 1849, NY. He married Emma M Bailey on 8 November 1876, and he died 28 May 1885; Margaretta^7 Ann Van Wicklen was b. 29 February 1852, NY. She married William Cash and had a dau. named Lily. She died on 21 May 1919; John^7 Van Wicklen was b. 5 February 1854, NY and died in childhood on 22 October 1861; Emma^7 Remsen Van Wicklen was b. 22 March 1856, NY. She married Richard W. Hedger.

Daniel and Hannah's oldest son, Andrew, 11, resides in Oyster Bay with Catherine Hoogland in household adjacent to that of his grandmother, Elizabeth Van Wicklen, age 68, widow.

Research note from Harry Macy, Jr.: Abram Van Wicklen served in the civil war as a union soldier in Co. B., 158th NY Inf. Pension on 4-25-1884 3511801, cert. 339293, NY; Abram Van Wicklen enlisted as a pvt. on 11August1862 at age 21 in Co. B, 158 Infantry Regiment, NY, was promoted to full corporal on 14 Feb 1864, and promoted to full sergeant on 5 May 1865. He mustered out of Co. B, 158 IR, NY on 30 June 1865 at Richmond, VA
